I like, and often respect, people with attitude so justice says I should extend that to ghosts too.
ReplyDeleteAnd The Rifters has been lurking in my unread tower for tooooo long. Thank you for the 'subtle' nudge.
"Haw haw." lol
DeleteGreat description of the ghost! Very intriguing!
ReplyDeleteHe was a blast to write for.

DeleteI like the way you are doing the challenge, great idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser paragraph, awesome!
Thanks for stopping in!
DeleteHahaaa....love it. If his head moved too much it fell off....I'd be headless all the time!
ReplyDeleteMe, too. My head would have been lost a long time ago.
DeleteThis was an awesome scene! I do love my ghosties :)
ReplyDeleteThey are fun. There are more ghosts in The Rifters.
DeleteLove the head falling off.
ReplyDeleteWhen doing my research, I discovered it was common for heads to come off during hangings.
DeleteThat description is great and funny!
ReplyDeleteI do like some humor.
DeleteHi Mary - what fun .. having a ghost whose head would fall off .. and then being able to tell his tales and stories .. how fascinating .. and kids, especially boys, would just love the ideas .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThe idea came from history. I researched hangings. Heads often came off.
DeleteSounds like a fun read!
ReplyDeleteI had a blast writing it.

There's more than one ghost. ;)
DeleteAre gangsta ghosts like gangsta cows? Great teaser.
ReplyDeleteThe gangsta cows are much scarier
DeleteI do believe...in ghosts.
ReplyDeleteMe, too. I've seen one.
DeleteI love how he wants his gun. I know some guys like that. His poor head...
ReplyDeleteEh, it happens. :)

There's no earthly way of knowing.
Which direction we are going!
HOLLYWOOD NUTS!
Come Visit: You know you want to know if me or Hollywood... is Nuts?
Creepy is fun.
DeleteI tend to steer away from heads that don't stay on. Isn't there some rule that you can never be coming back again, a la reincarnation, if your head is separated from your body? Or is that only in Highlander?
ReplyDeleteThere's the headless horseman. So it may only be Highlander and zombies.
ReplyDeleteLove this!! Rifters is on my to read list for sure
ReplyDeleteAwesome teaser. Love the voice and, "Hell on hot sands."
